This past weekend, Carlisle & Bray proudly participated in the America’s River Roots Festival, a signature event celebrating the culture, heritage, and history of America’s great river cities. Held along the Cincinnati and Newport riverfronts, the festival marked the official kickoff to America’s 250th Celebration—honoring 250 years of the nation’s growth and the pivotal role of the Ohio River Valley in shaping it.

As part of the event’s “We Work the Waterways” exhibit, Carlisle & Bray showcased the Queen City, one of the company’s flagship vessels, offering festival visitors an up-close look at the working side of America’s inland river industry. The display highlighted the importance of the towing and maritime sector in supporting commerce, jobs, and the economic vitality of river communities across the country.

America’s River Roots brought together nine historic riverboats from seven cities, along with live music across four stages, regional cuisine, bourbon and beer tastings, and cultural experiences celebrating America’s vibrant riverfront heritage. The festival drew visitors from across the region to experience the unique blend of music, cuisine, and culture that defines life along America’s inland waterways.
